I just discovered Showwkat's music last night for the first time and all I gotta say is DAMN THIS FOOL IS GOOD. In all my 23 years of existence, I have never seen an Afghan this talented. This guy is ACTUALLY ORIGINAL. He doesnt sing the same tune EVERY SINGLE OTHER Afghan singer tries to sing.
His music is incredible, and even better than that, his voice is untouchable. This is an actual singer that has talent among Afghans. Most singers just sing because they memorized a bunch of songs and know how to play a computerized keyboard; but showwkat has talent man.
Major props bro!!

ok first of all you all you people coming on here and saying showwkat cant sing? wtf is wrong with you? karr astii? ive personally seen him live and not only is he a beautiful singer but he has a big heart and an amazing personality. I dont understand whats wrong you people seeing someone from your own county successful at what they do. You should be proud that afghans are making their mark and that we have a variety of different music not just the same typical, repititive thing. we have a bad rep as far as war and the way we present ourselves theres no need for us to judge eachother as well. And as far as everyone here cussing...besharmmm... anyone can come on this site and see what you wrote... anyways showwkat is one of my favourite afghan singers and i hope he has a concert soon..cant wait to see him again ....keep up the work and dont let the comments from any of these people change your music or you're style

salaam to all, first of all i would like to thank everyone who wrote a comment, me myself is showwkat jaan's tabla player, my name is ali most people know me as maryos or dj tabla i used to play tabla for rameen and omar sharif hahah n e waiz thats not the case, from my prospective i think showwkat has a very amazing voice, other afghan singers sing in the same tune and sing the same songs over and over again. and for people who say he doesnt have any afghan insrtuments in his songs listen closly, if you think you know how to judge, think again, but anyways, showwkat jaan has an upcoming new cd that's going to be very great, new style, new songs of course of his own, its going to be great, with tabla,rubab,guitar, vocals and much much more, i wish showwkat jaan best of luck and its fun working with him, he's the best. any ways khuda fiz.

whoever thinks that showwkat is not a good singer there are wrong. he is trying is best and he has a good voice.he is our afghan brother and we should support him.ilike is songs something new and good.and there is nothing wrong with him.you just can't sing like him that's why you have to say something you wanna make a point than why don't you make a cd and see how good you are. take care loser.

Guess what you got yourself a lot of attention from these ppl and most of them seem to be so drawn by your talent that they are telling you to give up or you "suck"....but tumbs up to you....you are talented young afghan...and I happen to be one of your fans from Toronto...and those who got things to say they certainly are lacking taste of new generation music.
who says that these other live bands singing in toronto are talented............I call them "photo copying machine" they sing the same damn song....with their own weird tunes pre-recorded on their keyboards..........
Talent comes.........when you got the voice.......not instrument makes you a singer............YOU my friend are an awsome singer........best of luck for future albums!!

hi to everyone... have noticed in every afghan site tht afghans are fighting or arguing with each other..or wen a new singer is born every1 is killing each other over the websites tht he/ she is good or not...well y cant all of us have happy lifes without arguing with each other..i guess this has become the habit for afghans since they have gone through many stressful times such as WAR..but still u guyz want more thts y havnt heard anything nice from majority of afghans especially over the websites...I am PROUD 2 B an Afghan and i wish and pray tht all of us have peace so tht we can reunite again...thx
